Divine Decoys

Meet little Miss Trinie. Luka's sister, she is who will be coming home with us this week.
Meet little Miss Trinie. Luka's sister, she is who will be coming home with us this week.

When we have a preference and have offered it over and asked for the highest outcome to be ours, what often can be sent our way are what Tosha Silver, refers to as, Divine Decoys. I have witnessed this in my own life, and in the lives of those within my orbit.

How they often happen is we offer something we are hoping for, a longing, a preference to the Divine, and we may begin to receive signs, and nudges, and it feels like we are on the path to what we have been desiring. Standing on the edge, toes hanging over, and  suddenly we’re pulled back. A cosmic no, this is not it, and confusion may ensue. One may feel misguided, was a mistake made, were we not clear with the packaging we were on the look out for?

For me, it resembles a huge body slam, as if cosmic arms are wrapping themselves around me, pulling me back in quickly and without one ounce of hesitation. This recently happened with our puppy selection. I will not go into all the details except to say that almost three weeks in, we are back to our original dream that we had hoped for, yet wasn’t available, until it was. Dear Luka, will be finding another home, and we are getting his sister, also a blue Merle, and we have named her Trinie, pronounced, (Trin-ē) Trin rhyming with pin. Her name has personal meaning for my husband, Richard. His mom, nicknamed their first family dog, Trin,Trin. We tucked it away and thought it could be a wonderful name if a female dog ever joined our family again.

So, here we are, releasing any attachments of how it was unfolding, and truly, we both believe this is what we desired from the beginning, yet she was spoken for originally, until she wasn’t. We trust the same good fortune will happen for Luka, as he’s such a gorgeous boy. We truly wish we could adopt them all!

I listened this week, to one of my clients describe a Divine Decoy moment for her. Feeling into her body for guidance, receiving a full stop, and pausing to listen which resulted in a pivot. Resulting in aligned timing to discuss how she has contributed to the growth of her company, some new fresh ideas, and optimism for where it may lead. Speaking from her empowered inner wise woman, scattering seeds and presently waiting for clear guidance as to when to circle back to deepen the discussion.

Both of us sharing and remarking as to how different and freeing an approach this way is. It is normal and natural to have preferences, yet once the attachments to a certain way in which we believe it should arrive loosens, now the Divine can get busy and bring it. Flinging open and wide both the windows and doors. Allowing us to receive what is meant for our highest and best good.

“She decided after waking up from what felt like years of sleep, that she would live forevermore wide open to all that came to be in front of her. She decided that living awake was a choice, and in the moment she became free. And in that moment she chose to be the beam of light that reaches toward all other life, to be the beam that assists the earth in breaking and loving others awake.” ~ Sarah Blondin
